Freshman Convocation
The freshmen convocation is open to all first-time NMSU Las Cruces campus freshmen, their families and faculty/staff who would like to attend. Upper-class students will take part in the Freshman Convocation as presenters and speakers. The Convocation will include a welcome from President Ferme and Associated Students of New Mexico State University President Ziehe. University administrators, faculty and staff will also be in attendance to celebrate the commencement of our Freshmen’s academic journey. The Convocation will be a student-led event with motivating speakers, NMSU’s Ballet Folklorico Orgullo de Nuevo Mexico, NMSU Mariachi Orgullo, NMSU Sundancers, NMSU Pride Band Drumline and other student groups. The Convocation will lead into the First-Year Walk, an Aggie Tradition.
